We had beautiful weather for Halloween. Today it is cold and might snow, so we lucked out! As much as I wanted to go with a whole Star Wars theme this year (I've always wanted to be Leia), my kids had their own ideas (of course), so let's start with Jack:
He really wanted to be a Ninja this year. I found this costume at D.I. for $2! It was much cuter than something I could come up with, so we were both excited. He has asked to wear it almost every day after school since we got it, and he likes to go by "Sensei" when he wears it.
Don't mess with Sensei.
Next up, Little Buzz. I questioned if Colby would get into the whole Halloween thing this year (and if he didn't want to dress up, he would have definitely let us know). However, he was ready to be Buzz and had fun all day in his costume.
Buzz likes to use "the force" as well.
Camden wanted to be Darth Vader. He looked very Vaderish and rather than say "Trick or treat" he would push the buttons on his helmet to do the talking for him.
Then we have, Leia. This was so much fun. I helped with Camden's school party and asked if he wanted me to dress up for school or if that would be embarrassing. He asked if I was going to be Leia and when I said yes, he said, "Dress up for sure!"
It was so cute to see the little neighborhood boys at Trunk or Treat look at Leia in wonder. (Isn't Leia many little boy's first crush?)
Of course, Luke was opting that I wear a different Leia outfit : ) We were preparing to watch Return of the Jedi for the first time the other night and I warned the boys that her outfit was a little scandalous. Camden said, "What is scandalous?" Jack said, "That means beautiful." That is our little, Jack.
Luke considered going as Han Solo but we couldn't get the outfit to come out "Han-ish enough." So, at the last minute, he decided to be The Emperor. Luckily, he only scared his niece Marinn (who wouldn't come near him). The 6-year-old boys in his primary class at Trunk or Treat thought he looked awesome.
Here are our cute cousins Tinkerbell, Wendy, Uncle Kim and Peter Pan.
I saw a lot of fairies this year, but Marinn was by far the cutest.
Camden realized before Halloween this year that we never actually "trick or treat" (we go to the neighborhood trunk or treat and call that good). So, we went to my brother Brad's neighborhood and got the full experience. Camden and Colby loved it. Jack was fine staying at their house playing with cousin Curtis who recently got home from his mission.
My cute dark lord and defenders of evil.
And one more shot, I couldn't leave out... our neighborhood party this year for Jack and his buddy Koen (at Koen's house). They had so many cute friends there. Camden and Kai graduated on this year to be "junior helpers" at the party. Camden loved that power. I think his costume helped.

Loved the eclectic personalities of all your boys coming out- (Buzz still has the power to charm any four year old in America- their first SUPERHERO... I wistfully remember your "first little Buzz admirer"! But by far the "Best costume of the Family " goes to Princess Leia- how DID you do your hair???
Seriously, you look like Princess Leia! I love it and am so sad I missed you at trunk or treat. Can you come up with my costumes next year? I love the flintstones ones too. You have the most scandalist(AKA beautiful:)) family.
