Overheard...

Today as we are walking out of church Camden says, "Mom, I have really exciting news. Really, really exciting news, but I have to wait to tell you and Dad together." So, when we are all in the car coming home, he goes on, "The news is...today, I fell in love." (Pause...Luke and I looking at each other, eyebrows raised). Camden continues, "It's true. Kelsey put her head on my shoulder in Primary and I fell love." Wow...I thought this kind of thing didn't start until he got a little older. Who knows what kind of things he will be saying once school starts.

He also asked me today what Luke and I had been 'disgusting.' That one took me a minute until he repeated it again. I think he meant 'discussing.'

I remember my first crush. I was in the first grade. I guess kids are falling in love at a younger age. Their kindergarten teacher is going to have so much fun!

I think it's pretty cool that he wanted you and Luke together for the big news.

That is so cute!!! I remember when Kade's 1st grade teacher took me aside and told me that Kade and Pearl had been holding hands and that she had told them they couldn't do it at school. I think it was purely innocent, but when I asked Kade about it, he proceeded to tell me how in love he was with Pearl and that he wants to marry her. He and Pearl are still the best of friends and Kade is just convinced once he gets home from his mission they will get married.
