So, I'm sitting in the hammock, hearing the birds chirp and little boys playing, (slapping a mosquito)...and I just finished reading "The Host" by Stephanie Meyer. I liked it more than I thought I would. We all know she can do vampires but I was skeptical about aliens. It has made me second guess how she will finish the Twilight Series.
After traveling for 16 hours, we finally made it to Mimi and Poppa's house for our summer vacation in Maine. We left our house at 9:00 p.m. last Tuesday and arrived in Orono at 2:00p.m. Wednesday. Flying standby was uneventful this time (hallelujah) although Luke still doesn't have his luggage. The boys are having a great time finding "treasure" in the backyard/forest. So far they've found snails, slugs, feathers, mushrooms, squirrels, reminents of Luke's old club house, and all kinds of pine cones and sticks (what could make little boys happier?)
It's been great to really relax and hang out with Mom and Dad and Evan and Amber. Now I'm looking forward to hitting the beach. Mimi's trying to convince us to stay longer...but I don't dare send Luke home and fly later by myself with all three boys!

Lucky Girl!!! My vacation is sitting in a quite house for two hours during nap time.
Sounds fun. You have way more adventure in your life than I do....NYC, the Met, Sunday in the Park with George, Maine, the beach, flying on a plane....I could go on. Have fun!
Oh, I am so jealous that you are in Maine!! We really wish we were up there. I really enjoyed The Host as well. I too am rethinking how the Twilight Series will end now...
I was wondering if I should read this, and now I have to!! I have to find out why you are all rethinking how the Twilight series will end now. Hmmm. . . mysterious. Have fun in Maine. We just had a get together will all of Jake's old roomies. Make sure you get a picture of Evan so Jake knows that he really does exist after all.
Kai would have a fit if he knew you might stay longer. I will not mention this to him.
I'm glad you are having a great time. Oh I need to read something besides picture books. How do you do it all?
